McDonald’s own menu pages just say “4 burgers” without naming them. One price listing describes the Beef Sharebag as 2 Big Macs and 2 Cheeseburgers, and the Combo Sharebag, going by its name, mixes beef and chicken burgers. The fries and drinks are not four of the same size. Two people get a regular portion and two get a small, which makes the Sharebag a better fit for two adults and two children than for four hungry adults.

The Sharebags sit at the top of McDonald’s sharing menu. Below them are the Nazo Meals, built around McDonald’s value burgers and sized for two, three or four people, and the McMega 2 for couples.

The Nazo Meals cost almost exactly the same per person whatever the size, about R58 a head, so ordering a bigger one saves you nothing. Buy the size that matches the number of people eating.
At four people, a Sharebag costs R91.60 more than a Nazo Meal for 4, about R23 extra per person. That extra pays for the bigger burgers and the full 10-piece McNuggets.
