Coffee and Dessert Prices at South African Fast Food Chains (2026)

Quick answer: where are coffee and desserts cheapest?

McDonald’s and Wimpy sell the cheapest cappuccino at R26.90, while Starbucks charges R47. Starbucks does have one of the cheaper Americanos, though, at R31. For something sweet, the cheapest treats cost under R12: a Chicken Licken Cool Cone (R9), a KFC Soft Twirl (R9.90) or a Hungry Lion Vanilla Sundae (R9.90). The cheapest milkshake is at KFC, at R27.90.

Coffee and desserts are where the price differences between chains are biggest, because the same kind of drink or ice cream can be a cheap add-on at one chain and a premium product at another. All prices below come from our chain menu pages and were checked in September 2026.
